How to Apply to STEP

Deadline to apply for STEP 2024: June 1, 2024

  1. STEP Application: If invited to apply, the STEP application will be found on the MyAdmission portal.
  2. Statement of Intent to Register (SIR): Students must submit their SIR in order to apply to STEP. Once the SIR has been submitted, student will find the STEP application on their MyAdmissions portal to do list.
  3. Statement of Legal Residence (SLR): Interested students must also submit their SLR. This form can be found on the MyAdmissions portal check list after submitting their SIR.
  4. FAFSA/Dream Act Applications: In order for an application to be considered complete, students must also complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA or Dream Act Application. This application is in addition to the 2024-2025 FAFSA/Dream Act application. This means STEP applicants must submit TWO FAFSA/Dream Act Applications. If the 2023-2024 FAFSA is not completed, applications will be incomplete and not considered.
