I proudly identify as a first-generation college graduate and am deeply committed to supporting students who are the first in their families to attend college, come from low-income backgrounds, or live with a disability. In my work, I encourage our scholars to step outside of their comfort zones and pursue opportunities that align with their core values, strengths, and passions. My personal mission is “helping people help themselves,” and I am dedicated to guiding our scholars in becoming their best selves. I also believe that in order to give to others, we must first take excellent care of ourselves—a principle I hope to instill in the students I serve. Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, doggie snuggles, watching women’s basketball, exploring delicious foods, visiting libraries, cheering for the LA Lakers, and spending quality time with friends and family.

I am motivated to bridge our scholars to opportunity and success. I’ve experienced remarkable support from a Pre-Collegiate TRiO Program, Upward Bound, in my hometown of East Oakland, CA, and I am a product of the programs’ signature guidance and support. I hope our program makes a positive impact in our students' undergraduate journeys and beyond.

The holistic support the program provides helps equip students academically with motivation, encouragement and resources. Being able to provide support and assistance to our Staff, Peer Advisors as well as our students, is a true honor.

I am really excited to be coming into the program as a Peer Advisor for the new school year. As a first generation student myself, I hope to be able to help and give advice to the student scholars to help them navigate UC Davis. The program really stands out to me because of its foundational beliefs and a program which I wish I had growing up to help navigate my way through college. As a third year student I want to be able to serve the community which I see myself in and make the EOP student scholars experience at UC Davis a great one.

I feel honored to be part of such an impactful program and excited to see what the year as in store for the team. Having the ability to give back to these students and help them navigate through their time at UC Davis is very heartwarming to me. My goal is to provide these students with welcoming environment to all these students and guide them through such a impactful time as much as I can.
